The Complete End-to-End Logging Course. This course is a comprehensive guide to implementing and managing logging systems in software projects. Focusing on critical but often overlooked aspects of software development, this course is designed based on ten years of experience as a software engineer, Javier Dorfsman. Upon completion, participants will be able to set up a .NET API server that sends logs to the Logstash pipeline and displays the results in Grafana dashboards. This course teaches how to write logs in C# .NET, although the concepts are generalizable to other languages and frameworks. Log management in a Docker environment is also covered, including viewing standard output, using docker commands to examine logs, and configuring Docker to send logs to various destinations. Another part of the course is dedicated to working with Logstash as a log processing pipeline, covering topics such as its implementation and configuration. Finally, participants will learn how to use Grafana to visualize data, build various dashboards and panels, and set up alerts based on logs. The data used will be supplied through a SQL database populated by Logstash.
